great board, i love it.

for someone jsut getting into downhill that wants a) a board that is easy to learn on and b) a board that will handle just about anything you can throw on it, this is the board for you

Longboard Review

How long have you ridden the board

2 months

What is your setup like?

bear grizzly trucks, flipped hangars, blue stim bottom (that’s boardside for those of you that got into skateboarding after 2013); landyachtz 10mm bearings; 83mm flywheels

Typical Session Discipline

cruising, or dh up to around 35-40mph

How much did you pay?

$280 complete

Where did you purchase it?

direct from manufacturer

What were the strengths of the deck.

excellent concave, a LOT lighter than comparable boards that i’ve seen (that means the Landyachtz Evo, which was really the only drop-deck I’d seen or ridden at the time), great looks, excellent shape and size

What were the weaknesses?

first drop-deck i’ve owned, so it took some time to get used to turning

Similar decks you have ridden?

(stood on)landy evo, homemade dropthru speedboard (yes, this is a horrible review as I had no basis of comparison)

Would you recommend it?

Yes
I bought my Eleanor with my first paycheck from my first job, and I still own it to this day.  It’s currently sitting on some black Randal 180’s with black JimZ Bushings (known currently as Bear Grizzly bushings), and some old-school 85mm Kryptonics.  This board means a lot to me and isn’t one that I’ll likely ever get rid of.  It’s a bit of a shame what happened with Julian and CLB, but it is what it is…you can’t unconfuckulate your reputation after going down in flames like he did.  Still a solid board, and I’m grateful that I got to interact with him in the capacity I did on the forums.
