RIP, Jeff Grosso

I couldn’t quite believe it when I’d seen the rumors floating around Instagram and the forums:  On April 1, 2020, Jeff Grosso passed away.  Far be it for me to eulogize a guy I didn’t know, but Grosso was one of those guys who was ever-present.  I can’t tell you how many skateboard documentaries I’ve seen with interviews from Grosso; he was there during the 80’s skate scene, and maintained a presence in the industry up until the day he passed.  He was reliable, and for that, was always there.  His Love Letters To Skateboarding series on Youtube showed a slightly snarky viewpoint on all sorts of topics pertaining to skateboarding, from the perspective of a guy who was there.  He had a small presence on at least one of the forums I used to go on, and he had a very active presence on Instagram, sharing skate adventures with his son.  Hell, just a few hours before it was announced that he passed, he had a video posted of him dancing with his son in the living room.

RIP, Grosso.  Peace, love, and powerslides.
